Roeslein & Associates is honored to be a supporter of the Missouri Military Memorial Foundation (MMMF).
The Missouri Military Memorial Foundation was started by the family of SGT Amanda Pinson, who was Killed in Action on March 16, 2006 in Tikrit, Iraq, during Operation Iraqi Freedom. In honor of her and 182 fallen heroes from Missouri, many local Gold Star families raised funds to complete a 110,000lb granite memorial in May 2017. The memorial is located in Jefferson Barracks Park.
Each year, the organization hosts a 5k race to raise funds and keep their heroes’ memory and sacrifices alive. This is an excellent way for the Gold Star families, friends, other Patriotic organizations, and businesses to come together. This event has been held successfully since 2017. The funds raised are presented to local schools in the form of scholarships by the participating Gold Star families in honor of their fallen hero.
Chris Andrews, Founder, President, and Officer of MMMF, talked about how they overcame the challenges that COVID-19 brought them this year. “Although the 2020 race was canceled due to COVID-19, 11 Gold Star families still wanted to ask for donations and sell t-shirts to raise money for their scholarship funds. Funds are still being turned in for this year and at this time, these families have raised over $10,000. This does not include the generous sponsorship donation of $5,000 for a total of over $15,000 so far.”

As part of its ESOP Month celebrations, employees from Roeslein’s Saint Louis, MO and Red Bud, IL offices have participated in the foundation’s memorial run. More than 50 employees and their families have taken part in the event in support of the foundation and its mission.
In honor of Veteran’s Day, Roeslein would like to thank all of the men and women that have served and continue to serve in the military. They are proud to have many employee-heroes throughout their offices who are past, or current members of the Army, National Guard, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Army Reserve.
