Roeslein’s Environmental Stewardship Committee hosted its first Native Plant Sale organized by the Missouri Prairie Foundation. The sale was held in the parking lot at 9200 Watson Road in St. Louis, Missouri on September 30th from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Shoppers were able to browse and shop from vendors at the sale and place pre-orders. The vendors in attendance were Papillion Perennials, Gaylena’s Garden, Forrest Keeling, and MO Wildflower Nursery. Plants available for purchase included native wildflowers, grasses, shrubs, trees, vines, sedges, and native seeds from Grow Native! professional members. Vendors donated 5% of proceeds to the Missouri Prairie Foundation to support their prairie conservation work. Roeslein & Associates matched the total amount donated.Native Plant Sale in parking lot

Sarah Keifer, SharePoint Designer at Roeslein, helped plan the event. She stated, “We are very excited to be able to facilitate this event and provide a matching contribution after the event. Sustainability is a global responsibility and one that Roeslein takes seriously. Roeslein plans to share a seed mix and educational materials with its domestic employees for a longer-lasting impact following this event. This is just a small step we can take to leaving the earth in a better place.”
